Education Assistants (EAs), Teaching Assistants (TAs), Special Education Assistants (SEAs), and school staff who want to build real confidence with challenging behaviours. Some of our students are working toward RBT certification and use this course to satisfy the 40-hour training requirement. Others are not pursuing certification at all — they're here purely for professional development. Both paths are welcome, and the course is designed to serve both.

No. Many of our students take the course purely as professional development — they want stronger behaviour skills, but they aren't planning to sit the RBT exam. You'll still receive a certificate of completion for the 40-hour training, which many schools and districts recognize as continuing education.

The RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is an entry-level credential issued by the BACB. It requires 40 hours of training, supervised practice, and passing the RBT exam. A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is a graduate-level independent credential. School staff may pursue RBT certification to work under BCBA supervision in schools.

In Ontario, the RBT credential was replaced in July 2024 by the CPBAO (College of Professional Behavior Analysts of Ontario). Please check with the CPBAO regarding recognition of BACB-aligned training. This course is still valuable for professional development and skill-building regardless of credential recognition.

This course is built specifically for school environments — every example, scenario, and role-play happens in a classroom, gym, hallway, or lunchroom. You also get live instructor access for 2 months after the course.

You get 6 months of full access to all Thinkific course materials, including recorded sessions, downloads, and the community forum.

All live sessions are recorded and posted to Thinkific within 24 hours. You can watch asynchronously and ask questions via the community forum.

No course can guarantee exam passage. Our exam prep module, mock review sessions, and competency prep are designed to set you up for success. Passing also depends on your study habits and practice.

The BACB is transitioning to a new credentialing model in 2027. Our curriculum is updated to meet current 2026 standards, and materials will continue to be updated as new information is released.
